Parent-child sculpt with clay together

This workshop invites families to create a clay sculpture together and paint it with natural engobes. Participants explore simple slab‑building techniques, choose from different clay forms, and decorate their piece with colored engobes. Finished works are dried and fired twice, ready for collection in three weeks. The session offers a joyful shared creative moment for parents and children.

The workshop is guided by Risa Cohen, who shares: “As a parent, artist and sculptor, creating ‘mother‑child’ projects was part of our family practice, and those pieces remain some of my favorites. I believe creativity lives in all of us—to play, share, and express—and that’s why I offer different forms for participants to explore and create.”
